Spain 3 - Turkey 0

Friday, 17th June

A win for Spain and they would join France and Italy in the next round.

Turkey badly needed to score a goal but had their hands full trying to stop Spain.

Alvaro Morata silenced the critics in the 35th minute, with a turning header on Nolito's cross.

Two minutes later, a Cesc Fabregas chip into the area was flicked on by Mehmet Topal and Nolito was on hand to turn the ball past Volkan Babacan.

Half-time: Spain 2 - Turkey 0

Spain became the first team to score three goals as they waltzed through Turkey, to lay on an easy finish for Morata; and not even fifty minutes played.

Turkey didn't have anything to reply with.

Group D in Nice.
