France have already played Albania twice while teams were qualifying for Euro 2016; drawing (1:1) at home and losing (0:1) away.
Didier Deschamps made a couple of changes from the opening game; dropping Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba, for Kingsley Coman and Anthony Martial.
Both sides created half-chances in the first-half but the changes for France weren't really working and it was really nor surprise that Albania were still in the game at the break.
Half-time: France 0 - Albania 0
Albania held out until the 90th minute, frustrating France again; and at times, looked the only side like to score.
Even Didier Deschamps was starting to question his own changes to the changes.
Antoine Griezmann, on for Kingsley Coman, saved his blushes in the 90th minute when he headed home Adil Rami's cross.
Dimitri Payet made the score line look more flattering with a convincing curler, just before the final whistle, to secure a place in the next round for the hosts.
Group A in Marseille.
