I, James Muraguri Ngungu Gichohi, was Born on 21st March 1966 at Tumutumu Hospital in Mathira, Nyeri District (County), Kenya.
I started my early education at Musingu Primary school in Kakamega and after there went back to Nyeri Kiarithaini Primary school in 1972.
In 1982 I joined Mweru high school in Mukurweini, Nyeri and Kiarithaini High School in Karatina, Nyeri.
in 1991 I joined St Philips Institute of Science and Technology of Australia for distance learning course in Youth Work and Development, and later joined The African Institute for Economic and Social Development.
Later, in 1988, I secured a job with The Kenya Youth Hostels Association (Nairobi International Youth Hostel) as a trainee warden. Promoted to Assistant Warden,S enior Warden and Deputy Manager; until May 2013, when the Nairobi International Youth Hostel was sold and closed down for business.
I am a distinguished Volunteer with the Scouting movement in Kenya - Kenya Scouts Association - and served in the Friends of Scouts & Guides Society Kenya as a board member then Tresurer and Secretary.
A founder member of Friends of Scouts and Girl Guides Societies of East Africa, I served as assistant secretary and Secretary General.
I also served on the board of the local chapter of the Canadian Crossroads International and the GIB-German society for international meetings; as the country contact and planner for the youth exchange program between Kenya and Germany, among others.
I'm currently serving as the Public Relations Officer for the Baseball Federation of Kenya.
Serve as a Deacon at PCEA St Andrews Church of the Milimani Presbetry aslo the deacons leader of Group 6.
My interests in youth leadership and development issues and a focus in politics as a way to build our society.
I love music, writing, reading, socialising, meeting and sharing with people; to serve the less fortunate in our society and especially the Youth in focus to Development as my key concern.
